From observation to explanation
In Elementary I you recognized shapes. Now the question changes: why do the figures have these properties? The chapters in this trail come from the interactive Plane Geometry book and are accompanied by short classes on constructions, areas and length of the circle.
Discoveries itinerary
| Year | What to study |
|---|---|
| 6th year | Primitive notions, segments, angles, quadrilaterals and polygons |
| 7th year | Parallelism, triangles, circumference, circumference length and areas |
| 8th year | Congruence of triangles, perpendicularity and constructions with ruler and compass |
| 9th year | Pythagorean Theorem and the bridge to similarity, in high school |
Tip: in the book chapters, first read the opening of each topic (who discovered it, the history and day to day), touch the figures and only then face the demonstrations.
